"I love traveling with Sally. She has exquisite taste and a sense of adventure, and is always upbeat and friendly. She finds the most interesting places to stay and things to do, from ancient walled villages, to quaint auberges in the hillsides, to elegant alpine hotels. Finally, she can navigate all kinds of French roads, which I consider a major plus! She is someone I trust implicitly as a guide, having traveled with her on two trips to France."Also, the fact that Sally had incredibly detailed maps was so innovative and helpful. I had a blast figuring out where we were going in the middle of nowhere."

"We were reluctant to go to France because we didn't know the country or the language. Sally found us a wonderful home in a perfect location on the edge of a village in Provence where we stayed for a week. After a couple of meals with Sally, we could actually begin to navigate the menus - we even mastered "sans anchois" (no anchovies) on our own. We started out as timid travelers to a country we'd always wanted to explore and came home with wonderful memories and a desire to return."

"I traveled with Sally in May of 2006 to the south of France and I had so many memorable experiences that would not have been possible without her. We had just spent the entire day traveling and we happened upon the best restaurant in Mougins. The sun was setting, we were sitting on the terrace overlooking the valley sipping champagne and eating the most spectacular food I've ever had. It was heavenly!! And I wouldn't have been there if it weren't for Sally. She's absolutely terrific.
"Take a trip, change your life."

"Never having been to the Dordogne region of France, I wasn't sure what I should put on my list of things to see and do. It was wonderful having Sally there to not only suggest destinations - such as the incredible prehistoric caves at Les Eyzies and the beautiful towns of Brantome and Monpazier - but to actually drive us there! Traveling with Sally was a delight and I'm looking forward to seeing more of France with her as my personal guide."

"I‘ve been traveling with my mom for years but didn’t appreciate how stress-free it was until I started making travel plans of my own. When you’re traveling with my mom, the only decisions you have to worry about are what kind of croissant you want for breakfast and how much time you’d like to spend shopping or sightseeing that day.
“It’s truly such a wonderful luxury and makes the trip so much more enjoyable when you don’t have to stress about anything.”

"Traveling in France with Sally is wonderful. She knows it so well, speaks French easily and has great ideas of places to go, things to do and sights to see. She finds the places that are special and not in the books. And she finds the restaurants and hotels that are special and good - again not the ones in the brochures. PLUS traveling with Sally is great fun!"

"Traveling alone is no fun. I could not have imagined that in my 8th decade I would be walking the streets of Paris in the spring, but because of Sally, I was there. Fantastic! We also visited the World War II beaches in Normandy and Mont-St-Michel - all so memorable. Sally knows the best restaurants and finds the most wonderful accommodations."

"This may sound hokey, but traveling to France with Sally was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I don't speak French (at all) and I hadn't traveled outside the country in 40 years, but I was totally comfortable because I knew that Sally knew where we were headed. I was completely captivated by the experience because it was such an adventure for me.
"My favorite part of the trip was being in the countryside of Provence. I loved the colors and patterns of the fields, the amazing colors, tastes and smells in the markets, the fantastic food, the rich sense of history, and experiencing what was to me a completely new culture."

"There is no one I'd rather accompany me on a trip to France than Sally. Her love of the country along with her numerous trips there for business and pleasure have given her the ability to provide a unique tour for her companions. She knows the little out-of-the-way gems (restaurants, views, local attractions) tucked away in charming villages and the best times to hit the hot spots. Her easygoing personality and knowledge of French language, customs and culture give her an ease with local residents that often results in one-of-a-kind 'insider' experiences.
"Sally can put together an itinerary that is busy and packed with interesting and exciting activities as well as a more laid-back schedule with plenty of time to explore a particular region at one's leisure. In my opinion, Sally is the perfect traveling companion."

“One of the most wonderful things about traveling with Sally is taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge she has amassed over time. When we were driving around Provence on a recent trip, we stopped at a parfumerie Sally had read about in the Boston Globe years ago. While we were there we practiced our French with the delightful shopkeeper and laughed as we took blind smell-tests to customize the perfect scent. I never would have guessed that such a charming little place was tucked away in this sleepy village without any English markings!
“Sally's curiosity and passion for detail make these off-the-beaten-path experiences possible on every trip.”

“Sally is the perfect travel companion. She is so knowledgeable about where to eat and what to see in Paris. We had tea and the most delicious macaroons at a tearoom in St-Germain-des-Prés, dinner at a family-run restaurant in an out-of-the-way neighborhood, and a fantastic Sunday breakfast in a restaurant on the tip of Ile St-Louis, with a view of Notre Dame from our table.
“Traveling with Sally is a treat – it’s always interesting and lots of fun!”

"I traveled to France with Sally and two other women several years ago. It's doubtful that I would have visited France on my own, since my ancient college French was very rusty and I had no knowledge of the basics of travel in France. Before the trip, Sally helped with clothing choices and packing tips and also advised me about the best way to change money and the current exchange rates. Once on the road, Sally provided great places to stay and visit.
"Above all else, though, is the fact that Sally is very good company. She is a seasoned traveler and knows how to deal with a crisis or two that is bound to occur. I really enjoyed traveling with Sally and would love to do it again."

“I knew Sally loved France and thrived on planning trips and connecting with people. What I didn't know until I traveled with her was how careful a planner she is, how she focuses on the little details, and how respected and valued she is by the people she knows in France. I was incredibly impressed with her thoughtful attention to the little things that can make such a difference in the quality of your experience, and how she has nurtured her relationships with local people so that her traveling companions receive similar attention.
“A spectacular moment during our trip that I will never forget was the sudden emergence of the walls of a medieval city as we approached Rocamadour. My jaw literally dropped. As we oohed and aahed, Sally led us into the village so we could find and sample the mouth-watering local goat cheeses. They were a treasure worth pursuing, one she said we should not leave the country without trying - and was she ever right!”
